Who am I, What do I want, How do I show up?
I am a Certified Co-Active Professional Coach (CPCC ), I am also an Accredited Co-Active Coach (ACC) and a member of the International Coach Federation (ICF).
I left work to raise my children after a successful career working with diverse communities in the fashion industry, where I held positions including technical designer, production manager, and director of development and production. I became a stay at home mother, dedicated exclusively to being a caregiver.
I heard many stories of disenfranchised women, through my own experience and my husband’s work. (He’s a lawyer who works with families affected by domestic violence). I learned of parents of children with disabilities who felt lost, women who had to leave the workforce to care for their families, and immigrants unable to advocate for themselves and their families.
All of these folks had one thing in common: they had no voice.
At the same time, my son was struggling in school. He was later was diagnosed with a learning disability. I was at a loss.
Suddenly, without warning, I too felt that I had lost my independence and consequently … my voice. I needed to reignite the passion and energy I previously had for myself. I found an amazing coach. She became the light at the end of the tunnel. She became my strategic partner, helping me navigate my new reality and find my voice.
I began hosting dinner parties for women where we shared our struggles and our vision and intention for our lives and families. We also shared food, drink, dance, and laughter. I had become a coach. People were coming to me for guidance and support in their struggles. I decided to become a certified life coach so that I can work with more women as they, too, find their lost voices.
I’m a strategic partner and a compassionate truth-teller. I help develop strategies to address whatever challenges are blocking your ability to succeed and make those changes last. The joy of seeing so many women find their passion and re-connect to who they once were, get unstuck, return to work successfully while feeling that they had not compromised themselves and their family, was amazing and wonderful. More than anything, my goal is to continue and expand this work.
